X-Files has been, for sure, one of the best TV series ever made. It had a mixture of science-fiction, horror, thriller and action. No one ever achieved to be such quality before the explosion of series by ending 2000s. It is worth remembering that it is the only series that was adapted twice for the big screen (in 1998 and in 2008). Eight years later after X-Files: I want to believe , a mini-series revival comes to life.
The worldwide known theme of the series has been adapted for the two films. Both have a very different approach and very compelling. One privileges the drums, the other privileges electronic sounds. Go back to the world of X-Files!
One of the greatest artists of all-time passed just passed away. The great David Bowie was everywhere: in fashion, in art, in music and in the cinema! His influence is so vast that his music has been used in many films. Without David Bowie's music, these scenes would have lacked the emotional power they needed. In this fantastic scene from Quentin Tarantino's film, this character is preparing for a massive killing in the cinema she manages. The thirst for blood and vengeance can be felt in all the length of the scene. David Bowie's music adds a layer of beauty to it.

Interesting transition from a quiet Bossa Nova version of this song to then the original one. Very powerful.

From the same film, comes an outsanding version of Brazilian singer Seu Jorge. Even if this scene was not used in the final footage, it is a great adaptation deserved to be used in a future film.

Music with a nostalgic touch. The music from David Bowie fits perfectly to the dreamy and sad tone of the scene. Of course, we recommend you watch the film to fully understand this scene.

The beginning of a cult film by David Lynch. The lyrics of this song are related to this film's story but also at the fast speed of the car. Look at how fast this lost highway goes. Heading to a total darkness, Lynch along with Bowie invite us to a session of madness.

Challenged to show his dancing skills, Heath Ledger's character demonstrates some good moves in this fantastic scene. David Bowie even fits in medieval times.

Scene in which the main character runs freely and joyfully in the streets of New York. This unadulterated joy is simply magnified by this great song of David Bowie. Short, simple but remind us that happiness is about moments. Gorgeous scene.

This one is particularly beautiful as it is intimate, quiet and powerful. You can listen to this anytime, anywhere and you will be caught by the magical sound of M83.

As an final homage to James Horner, we leave you one of the best pieces he ever wrote. So much sensitivity and honesty into a music. His music will still be heard for a long time. RIP James Horner.

Amazing Soundtrack! We haven't listened to such an original soundtrack in years. Drummer Antonio Sánchez tries to make us understand the insanity of the main character Riggan who struggles to be someone in a individualistic society.

Charlie Clouser is part of a generation of film composers who were influenced by industrial music (NIN) or alternatives to orchestral music ( composers such as Craig Armstrong). Clouser was actually part of the band NIN from 1994 to 2000 and the fans can still identify elements of their music in his compositions.
His music became an essential component of the horror films he was involved with. Many of these became hymns of modern horror movies (especially with the Saw saga). Even if disregarded by many, we consider it as a valuable film composer that knows how to target and bring up a wide range of emotions (tension, fear, sadness).
1) A Message- Death Sentence Soundtrack
This incredibly powerful theme is embedded by the sound of sadness, rage and despair. Even if the film Death Sentence could be cataloged as a "Serie B" polar movie, the music by Clouser makes all the thrill. This is a remix of an original composition by Andy Kubiszewski but the heavy bass makes a whole difference. We suggest you to compare later.
2) Out of the Fire- The Collection soundtrack
The most valuable tribute to industrial music in a movie soundtrack.Guitars with strong delays and drums setting an increasing tension are another slick of Clouser's talent. This terrible (very bad) film had the privilege of having this guy as the film composer. Enjoy.
3) Hello Zep- Saw Soundtrack
This is his most famous theme. Everyone who has seen Saw will remember this chill and diabolic theme. It is about evil and violence winning over everything. A dark theme that made a difference in the twisted ending of the first Saw (the other ones were crap). Don't think too much, just listen to it!
Another day for sharing a beautiful music soundtrack. "The Assasination of Jesse James" has an amazing soundtrack signed by Nick Caves and Warren Ellis. Listen to the melody, swim with the softness of the sound and enjoy the wave.
